it was a time

It was a time when there was no net

It was a time when there was no you

It was a when there was no us

It was a time which i never forget

When there was just one line on Delhi metro

And on street just one abusive language

It was time of DVD , vcd for movies

And all sorts of video were on phone.

When cable tv was full of emotions

And So were relations

It was time when reality was absent from idot box

And from our fragile minds

When Mcdonlad was luxury

And that juice corner was cheap

It was time when our car was still small

And so was our wallet size

When there was no Brand just a school dress

And friendship was based on love.

It was a time when no FB

And all emotions were shared offline

It was time when there was no tomorrow

It was a time when there were no constrains

It was time which quickly ran

It was time which i never forget

Why Jawahar Lal Nehru is my fav writer

First of all please ignore the fact Nehru stupid decsion after becoming a PM be Kashmir or 1962, and im not congress supporter to be clear. But yes a person who is intrested in h
Nehru has written 3 books out of which i have read two
that is discovery of India and Glimpses of world history. Both books are phenomenal and has impacted my way of thinking and way i perceived history . Both were written when Nehru ji was in jail and no ACCESS TO LIBRARY OR ANY KIND OF BOOKS

First book that is Glimpses of world history it was written over three years period in 1930's , when he was in jail, The book is actually a collection of 12 letters written to her daughter(indhira/ pridarshani) as a birthday gift, he could not gift any material gift. The books start at pre Indus civilization era , goes to Rome, Asoka period, China, West Asia then switch back to europe brtish, lenin etc. Interesting thing is way he compares different era with his present large British Empire, and way he explains even small things valuable teaching ,compares Alexander, ceaser with each other, Europe dominance with its past an much more . We should remember that book is written by a father explaining to daughter which separate it from other history books. And makes it a worth to read.

A New York Times critic comment
"one of the most remarkable books ever written . . . Nehru makes even H.G.Wells seem singularly insular . . . One is awed by the breadth of Nehru's culture"

Discovery of India is a very technical book with philosophy in starting , but slowly enters in history mode it very beautifully explains the culture and history of India.Glorifies indus civilization, Asoka. Now the book gives you so much knowledge right from why and how upnishads devloped ,how ramayan came, How advance was Indus civilisation ,written in Pre independence era it challenges the two nation theory as well. His undisputed feeling of patriotism
and love for his country is visible on every page
the reason i liked the book so much is because it gave me so much knowledge about my country. Secondly most important reson will be i always perceived India as country to be created by chance that we were a British colony and never a country historically like iran china etc , but books will very convincingly proove you that india is a country as whole which has existed before the very defination of nation came was made.

A walk to remember

Our walk started with a stupid question which i still remember ("How to measure a nation economic strength") in a metro station, you told lets walk and discuss, i told my house is 5km walk from here , you told mine is even far. We discussed and obviously i won :)
it was just a start i dont know what love you had for a walk, our second was India gate then we never stopped from southex,Pitmapura, shalimar bagh, almost all college fests in DU, i think the longest and closest to my heart one was your shortcut from chankyapuri to indiagate which u thought was just next, despite me arguing you ve lost it. but we came really close after that and it worth a 8km walk :), eating icecre
Then we started eating on our walk and you were perhaps the only one person, whenever i told i want to eat you never said no to me never, but then again you used to make me walk and walk from Karol Bagh to Pharganj, rajori, south ex to defcol, saket to malvinagar, chawari bazaar. there was no eating point which we missed i remember u buying a "Time food guide" just for me and we croosing almost every colomn of 200 plus book which we traveled.
In summers i remember since we cant go to walk, we used to go to museums, which was yours as well as mine hobby. discussing stupid things on phone in night( thanks tofree night calls on dea)
a rainy walk to rajghat, a walk inside parliament, a walk to see prime minister house(which got us arrested)
Best thing was you holding hands whenever you hold hand it was something very warm, a feeling which fills you with emotion, it was like their is someone for you. those two years were awesome and perhaps best days of life, a life was their was no tension, no studies (at least for 10months)

Then one fine morning you told "sorry i cant walk anymore, but i promise whenever i will walk i will always remember you and promise me you will never forget me". You said this may be because i was of a nature who forgets people easily or is so self-centered.
i didn't have any of your photos, videos just the memories of our walk but slowly i got over , i always kept myself busy, it is never easy to forget.didn't care about looks, clothes just me and my virtual world of games, novels, comics and friends.

But i never walked i hated it , i always felt scared ,nervous to walk for some unknown reason. Then i was in Bombay one fine day getting out of my office , i saw a long marine drive perhaps the most beautiful road in India to walk.Should i walk standing at taxi stand should i take a taxi or walk?
But then i remebered a song "jeevan hai chalne ka naam" lets give it a shot, i felt so great after walking that every weekday i walked on marine drive, on weekend it was juhu or kartar road. But i must say when i take my first step for a long walk i always think about you, its your image that flashes and i know you also think about me whenever you walk.
I dont know in which part of world you are now , i never replied to you but the walk which i had you was really a walk to remember which i will never forget.

Secret of happiness- My View

whats the secret of happiness for me not going into semantic and theory what it is actually, For me it depend on

Friends and Company Around You

if a person has friends who care for him, love him, always understand him and most importantly honest and frank. If you have such friends there is nothing like that, the very company of of such people gives you joy
and it doesn't matter if your hobbies match or not, all my good friends have hobbies which are very different

Atitude towards Life
Its perhaps the most important element, the attitude should be i think attitude sholud be by gones are bygones, and sholud be content WAT U HAVE
there is no end of demands you want if you have a mobile you want a better mobile of wifi then 3G etc, (i still have got my first year mobile and use it)
Also wat u ve done has been done, there is no need to

i dont belive i dont care or damn if i care, is more or careless which will never buy you any friends. Some if people dont believe if you don't care you are happy. It will do nothing but isolate you.

330 million hindu gods ??

OUR religion is often called as religion of 300 million gods which we know is wrong but this misunderstanding arises from the fact that people in india believed that there is a god in every human being and in ancient times people believed that there are 330 million people living so the number arrived from here (now we have 1 billion )

geeta clearly says that we have only one god but why then we worship so many different god
well every hindu god we worship is a fraction of the all mighty for ex saraswati denotes knowledge part of all mighty ,indhra denotes the rain part of ultimate god

and it doesnt matter which god you worship as mentioned in geeta "no matter in which form you worship me all the path will lead to me "(i cant recall the exact word )

another point is that we dont consider the god supreme as by different religion we consider him a mean through which we attain salvation
